Edible Print FAQ's

How long will my toppers last before use?

Our Edible Prints will keep for up to 12 months from purchase if stored correctly 


How do I store my edible print before use?

Store Flat In A Cool, Dry Place Away From Direct Sunlight.

Keep Sealed In The Packaging Provided In A Cool Dry Place until use. 

Do Not  Refrigerate.  


Can you make custom designs?

Yes.

How can the edible print be applied to my cake/cupcakes?

Once you have cut out your edible print you need to peel off the backing sheet. 

With clean dry hands place your edible print on to butter-creamed cupcakes.

For fondant covered cakes brush a small amount of water to the area you would like the print to stick to then place the print onto the fondant and carefully smooth into position.

It is very important you don’t touch the print with wet hands and be careful not to get any water on the image as the ink will run.

Once placed on the cupcakes Do Not keep in the refrigerator. 

Tip: If the weather has been humid or the edible image has become soft and difficult to peel from the backing, we first recommend placing in the freezer for 25 seconds immediately before use.


Are your edible prints free from allergens?

Our edible prints are free from the 14 main allergens however they are prepared in a environment that occasionally handles nuts.  


Are your edible prints suitable for vegetarians and vegans?

Yes our edible prints are suitable for vegetarians and vegans   


What ingredients are in your edible prints?

Icing Sheet Ingredients:

Starches   E1422, E1412, Maltodextrin, Glycerin, Sugar, Water,  Stabilizers  (E414,  E460i), Food Colour E171, Emulsifiers E491, E471,  Flavors,  Acidulants  E330, Preservative E202, Sucralose

Edible Ink Ingredients:

Black:  Water,  Humectant (E422), Propylene Glycol (E490), Preservative  (E202),  Food  Colors (E122-Carmoisine, E133, E102-Tartrazine), Acidity    Regulator(E330).

Yellow: Water,  Humectant (E422), Propylene glycol E490), Preservative  (E202)   Food  Color: E102 (Tartrazine), Acidity Regulator(E330).

Magenta:  Water, Humectant (E422), Propylene glycol (E490),  Preservative  (E202),  Food Colours (E122-Carmoisine, E124-Ponceau),  Acidity  Regulator(E330).

Cyan:  Water,  Humectant (E422), Propylene Glycol (E490), Preservative  (E202),  Food  Colors (E133, E124, E102- Tartrazine), Acidity  Regulator(E330)


Will I get an exact colour match?

We  aim to colour match as closely as possible by adjusting our printer to get the best match however due to the nature of the food grade inks printing in CMYK  (cyan, magenta, yellow and black) and computer screens show colour as RGB (red, green, blue), colours may not appear as bright as on screen.


What image file should I use?

You can upload either jpg or png files.
Please email your design/logo to cupcaketoppersuk@yahoo.com.
 

We recommend a resolution of around 300dpi.
However, the higher the resolution of the image, the better.  
We also recommend the size of your image to be between 500 & 1000 pixels.  
You may experience problems uploading files larger than this. 
Files under 500 pixels are lower resolution and may not produce a nice sharp finish. 
The higher the resolution of the image, the better the print quality will be.
